From this point, I will be trying to review the resorts
and point out good and back items that happen to us as we go.
My big concern is access to the internet, clean facilities and
friendly service.
Chinook Bend Resort: Oregon Coast
This was a bit of a surprise. We really liked this one. First
of all, the owners we wonderful. They went out of their way to
make sure we were happy. If you like a happy place to go and
great September Salmon fishing. You really need to visit this
place. If you need internet, they provide wireless at the
lodge.
Paradise Cove Resort: Oregon Coast
This is truly a fishing RV park. This place ranks poorly with us.
The people seemed bored and non friendly. There sites were
primitive and do not provide internet. If you like
fishing, this is a great place to go, however, do not depend on
getting any personal attention or service from this place.
Pacific Holiday Resort: Long Beach Washington
This is a fresh and clean resort. However, there is no internet
at all. The sites a large and the beach access is wonderful.
The facilities are clean and the employees seem very friendly.
If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay, you will like it
here.
Ocean Mist RV Park - Ocean Shores, Washington - KM
Resorts
Well lets start with Internet again - NOPE!!. I guess they do
not care that you have to travel to the main town of Ocean shores to
use your wireless laptop.
This park was a real let down. The facilities were dirty and not
kept up. We also found the parking to be a real mess.
The staff was friendly, yet didn't seem to be on top of the park.
The beach access is nice, but its just as nice at all the RV Parks.
Lost Lake RV Park - Olympia, Washington
Be ready for a sales pitch. These guys want to sell you a lot.
This place was pretty nice once you got use to the Railroad Trains
and Gravel pit trucks.
They do have wireless internet, very clean facilities and a
wonderful mini lake.
Pier 4 - Sunset RV Park and Resort - Moses Lake,
Washington
Nice place, but they are not pet friendly at all.
Get ready to keep you pet in. They do not want your pets on
the grass at all. Nor do these folks have internet. The
facilities are pretty nice and the folks are friendly if you do not
have a pet.
Yogi Bear's Camp Resort - Cheney, Washington - KM
Resorts
This is a great place to take kids, but be careful where they tell you to
park, even if you are a member of KM Resorts. Try to image,
going to up a large dirt road hill, with trees and then curve
downhill and find out you have to back in a new 35 foot Montana 5th
wheel to the side, on side hill. It was a night mare, but
after 2 hours, we actually got setup.
What really killed me was walking down to the nicer area, that said
members only. It was green and flat with nice lots. Good
thing we purchased a membership with KM Resorts.
This place does have internet, but you must pay for it and get a new
password everyday. The clubhouse and activity center is nice,
but I am to mad to appreciate it.
A few days later, we finally went own to the office and
asked if we could be moved to the lower section. They agreed,
and we moved right away. We also told them that I was a Square
dance Caller, and before you know it, we got asked to hold a dance
for the park on that Friday night. It was a hit. See
pictures below.
Our next stop is Newport, Washington.
